GodWorld
Abraham the father of the three main Monotheistic religions, loved to entertain, he loved to have parties and invite guests and strangers into his tent for some food and something to drink, and he wasn’t stingy about it either, in the middle of dessert, he would love nothing other than lavishly spoiling travelling merchants and pilgrims with really fresh and yummy organic food, and when his guest would thank him for being so kind, he’d say “Don’t bless me, Bless the God of the World!” And this is how he started the first Monotheism, the idea and belief in their only being ‘One God’. Well that’s what they told me he said in Sunday School.
And although this is a lovely idea to be fare to Abraham that may not have been his intended message to the world. You see, if you actually check out what he would say to his guest when he asked them to thank God for the food they had eaten he would say “Bless GodWorld” (Baruch El Olam) and not ‘God of the World’ – and there is a radical and cataclysmic difference in message between the two – the true message of Abraham was ‘Bless GodWorld’ – thank and praise the DivineWorld we live in, God and the world are One thing! He was the inventor of Monism!
